HouseLens DIY, also known as HouseLens View, a product of House Lens, Inc. (“we,” “us,” or “our”), is an application that provides a quick, easy video creation platform for shooting, editing, and uploading user-created videos  (the “Service”).  It is our policy to respect users’ private information that is collected while providing the Service.  This notice is intended to help you understand our privacy practices in collecting, using, and disclosing information related to your use of the Service.  By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy’s terms and conditions.  This Privacy Policy is expressly incorporated into the HouseLens DIY/HouseLens View Terms of Service which can be found at


When you register for HouseLens DIY/HouseLens View, we collect the personally identifiable information [PII] that you provide, such as name, photo, company name, phone number, address, e-mail address, password, and website information.  When a user purchases a HouseLens DIY/HouseLens View subscription, a third party collects PII in the form of credit card information, which a third party processes for us. That third party is prohibited from using any of the users’ billing information except as needed to process credit card payments on our behalf.  Users can modify their account information in the My Account section of the DIY website.  We use the account information to operate the Service for billing, authentication, user contact, and to help make HouseLens DIY/HouseLens View the best possible video creation platform for our users.

When you use the Service, we may also collect other information, like the type of browser and operating system you are using, your IP address, Internet service provider, platform type, the way you use the Service, and other data.  We may also collect information about your location and your unique device identifier.


We use the information you provide to respond to your inquiries, fulfill your requests, and to send you administrative information, such as updates to our Service policies or features.  The information we collect may also be used to personalize your experience and to offer you products, programs, features or services that may be of interest.  Information we receive might be combined with outside records and shared with third parties to enhance our ability to market specific products or services that may interest you.  We may also use the information we collect from and about you for our business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, and improving our marketing and services.  When you use the Service, we automatically use the information that we collect for research and analytics purposes, as well as for improving the Service’s design, content, features and user experience.

We will share your PII with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these functions and provide such services, and only pursuant to binding contractual obligations requiring such third parties to maintain the privacy and security of your data.  We may use and share with third parties certain technical information (including IP addresses) or aggregated information to show general demographic and preference information and viewer patterns among users of the Service.

We will not sell, share, trade or rent your PII to third parties for their promotional purposes without your explicit consent. We may collect and disclose your non-personal information to third party vendors to assist in gathering usage statistics to improve the Service.

We may use and disclose the information we collect from and about you as we believe to be necessary or appropriate: (1) under applicable law, including laws outside your country of residence; (2) to comply with legal process; (3) to respond to requests from public and   government authorities, including those outside your country of residence; (4) to enforce our  Terms of Service (5) to protect our operations or those of any of our affiliates; (6) to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property and/or that of our affiliates, you, or others; and (7) to allow us to pursue available remedies  or limit the damages  that we  may  sustain.

Please note that if HouseLens DIY/HouseLens View, House Lens, Inc., or any of its affiliates, subsidiaries, or lines of business is sold or otherwise disposed of, including through merger, consolidation, or sale of assets, or in the unlikely event that HouseLens, Inc. goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, the relevant customer database, including PII, may be disposed of, transferred, or otherwise disclosed as part of that transaction, and you acknowledge that the acquirer of any of the aforementioned entities or products may continue to use your information as set forth in this Privacy Policy.


The Service uses cookies to remember certain user information such as the registration information and password, which allows Service users to save time by not having to log in more than once.  HouseLens DIY/HouseLens View uses both session ID cookies and persistent cookies.  Session cookies, which allow users to navigate the Service more easily, expire when a user closes the browser.  Persistent cookies remain on a user’s hard drive for an extended period of time and can be removed by following directions provided by the web browser.  A user rejecting cookies may still navigate the Service, but functionality will be limited.  Your Web browser may set be to accept all cookies, block certain cookies, require your consent before a cookie is placed in your browser, or block cookies altogether.  To adjust your browser settings or preferences, review the “Help” or “Internet Options” menu in your browser’s tool bar.

No PII is collected with the cookies that we set.  Accepting cookies while using the Service will not put the user at risk for marketing to other sides.

Since security of user information is very important to us, we have established appropriate, physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online in order to prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of user information.  Unfortunately, it is not possible to guarantee that all data transmitted over the Internet or a wireless network is 100% secure.


We do not knowingly collect PII from children under the age of thirteen (13).  If we become aware that a child under thirteen (13) has provided PII to us, we will delete such information from our system.


Your information and data may be transferred to and maintained in whole or in part on computer networks which may be located outside of the state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction in which you reside, including the United States, which may have different data protection rules than in your jurisdiction.
